Origins renewal serum
There's something about getting older and having less energy after exhausting days and late nights out that makes it difficult to stay diligent with skin care. As I cross over to the other end of my twenties, I worry about my inconsistencies and how much more attention my skin actually needs. I've been wanting to find one effective serum that'll do the job both day and night, so that I could say I make an attempt to nourish my skin properly at least once a day.
This Original Skin renewal serum from Origins is my current favorite. It's lightweight and just as relaxing as it is invigorating, perfect for both day and night use- I'll put it on with my tea in the mornings, or as I wind down with a glass of wine at the end of the night. I love how silky the skin becomes after applying, it really feels supple and youthful for hours on end even with just one use. Thank you Origins for relieving my concerns with my quarter life crises, ha.

Lanvin dress, Adidas sneakers
Spring is just around the corner and while I love the inviting new season, I like to stick to neutral colors and minimal looks. I'll go for something lightweight but counter the anti-color with the inclusion of tailored pieces. To find the right items that fit my needs—something that’s on trend but doesn’t deviate from my wardrobe—I go to Nordstrom Rack, where they stock a good variety of styles, many of them designer items, at a smarter price.
How will I be approaching the new season? Sticking to what I know and like but with an open mind for spring inclinations. I can't help but stay within my usual color scheme and minimal basics, but I’ll be opting for things with a feminine flair this season. Luckily I found the perfect piece that meets my criteria when I visited Nordstrom Rack’s flagship store in Seattle recently: a light gray Lanvin dress (similar styles here and here) with raw, frayed edges. I love the juxtaposition of a more structured dress with undone details. It’s my ideal approach on transitioning into spring with my current athletic basics aesthetic.

Joan Smalls x True Religion crop top, bralette, high-rise brief, high-rise skinnies
Currently in between trips and feeling like life at home is in a perpetual state of shambles -- taking my mind off of it by sticking to what I know best: comfy basics. Cozying up in what are now my favorite crop and skivvies from the Joan Smalls x True Religion collection to make it all better temporarily. Crop and high waisted combo (a la ultimate girl crush) never felt so good.
Ines de la Fressange x Uniqlo bomber jacket, UNIF x UO sweater, Mavi denim jeans, 3.1 Phillip Lim heels, Will Leather Goods backpack
I've long been a fan of boyfriend jeans - I think there's incredibly something understated-chic about it and it's so comfortable to wear. These are in my current rotation of jeans, a lightweight slim boyfriend fit from Mavi, with just enough stretch to balance structure for comfort and style. As a denim devotee I'm always on the look out for emerging brands and recently Mavi's caught my attention with their 'Alexa' ankle-cropped skinny and the 'Emma' slim boyfriend. Both are super flattering and easy to style, and I'm a sucker for classic vintage and stark black washes that make a solid pair of jeans versatile.
So, the fun part: I'm patterning up with Mavi to give away one pair of jeans to five readers. Please follow Mavi on Instagram, visit my post with Mavi and comment/tag @MaviUSA, sharing whatever you'd like--what you like most about denim, how you usually style your favorite fit, etc. The giveaway will stay open until the end of Saturday, March 28th, 2015. Good luck!

Simple Skincare cleansing water
When I travel, no matter how near or far the destination, my skin dries out immensely. I think it's because I take on stress from procrastinating on packing, the lack of sleep before and during a flight, recycled air and pressure from flying, etc. It doesn't help that it's also hard for me to sleep soundly anywhere, not to mention jet lag in new countries. To remedy this I bring a set of my trusted skin care products, one of them being this micellar water cleanser from Simple Skincare.
So every night before I go to bed during a trip, my routine is as follows: 1) drink at least two glasses of water, 2) use Simple's cleansing facial wipes to get most of my makeup off, 3) dab the micellar water cleanser onto a cotton round and wipe my face all around to make sure I've gotten everything, 4) apply Simple's replenishing rich moisturizer to my face and neck area.
This has been my go-to routine for travel for the past few trips and the simplicity of it has really been effective and saved me a lot of time and distress over dehydrated skin. You can find Simple Skincare at most drugstores like Walgreens, and for a limited time, you can get your own sample of Micellar Cleansing Water here.

Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange jacket and linen pants, LaPina by David Helwani leather top, Adidas sneakers
Hi guys, so sorry for going MIA here - I'm finally back from Tokyo and adjusting to home-life again. Expect a photo diary soon, but in the mean time I'm sprinkling a few blog posts--style, skincare, etc--inspired by my trip.
Before visiting Tokyo, Paris was undoubtedly my favorite city in the world. My love for the culture was realized just upon landing at CDG, before even setting foot on French soil. I don't know how peering into a sunset while taxying made me so sure, but I was allured by the teeming air of romanticism, and by their art of simple living and style. Although I can barely form a sentence in French to even translate my love, I respect their approach in meshing the luxurious with the comfortable, with room only for the necessities.
This sentiment for a sort of unconventional, new league of luxury was also seen in Tokyo, a city that emphasizes form-meets-function to no end. It's no wonder that Uniqlo, a brand ubiquitous for comfortable basics, collaborated with Ines de la Fressange to create a collection of quintessential every-day pieces. I fell pretty hard for these linen trousers (now my go-to pant) and this bomber jacket with the perfect amount of sheen. As soon as I came back home tired from transit and jet lag, I slipped into my favorite cozy pieces from IDLF x Uniqlo, put on familiar leather, my trusty cap and white sneakers, and went on with starting my day in LA.
