Mikoh swimsuit and slip dress, Cocobelle sandals
Last month Princess Cruises took me to the Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico during our Caribbean cruise, and I guess I can now check off swimming with stingrays and climbing one of the Mayan ruins from my list of to-dos, ha. I'd planned to pack this year with a ton of travel but never did I think that I would be tip-toeing through white sand with stingrays gliding to my left and right, nor did I think I'd overcome my fear of heights by ascending and descending the narrow steps of Nohuch Mul (130 feet high!) on all fours. The views of clear waters at Grand Cayman and of expansive lush greenery atop the Nohuch Mul were breathtaking to put it simply. And not to mention, the rides to and from each port were just as gorgeous, as we would witness the most stunning sunsets and sunrises. One step out onto the balcony and it was like being face to face with heaven. Thanks Princess Cruises for the unforgettable experiences!

Kimchi Blue dress, Vagabond boots, Silence + Noise blazer, Nikon watch, Bing Bang cuff
As mentioned in the previous post, two dresses for the holidays is all I need. Usually I'll cover each end of the spectrum and pick two that are black or white - this Kimchi Blue wrap dress from Urban Outfitters is my choice for the lighter end. Dusty pink, with a wrap bodice and strappy back? Sold. Had a hard time choosing one from UO's selection of party dresses- there are so many with different silhouettes, hemlines, necklines, etc. that are perfect for end of the year festivities. And, holiday or not, I could easily see these dresses worn for any occasion. Check out some of my picks below:
And in the holiday spirit, UO has rounded up some of the best things to either give to others or to add onto your own wishlist. All neatly sectioned off so you don't have to laboriously scavenge the internet for ideas, check out #URGifted! Hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving/week. Cheers x
Kate Spade Saturday dress, bomber, and bag, Zara heels, Luv AJ cuff
With dinner parties frequently popping up for the holidays, it's necessary to consider your dress options. For me, two or three is enough with varying ways to wear your hair and makeup, and ways to accessorize it. This deep v-neck drape dress from Kate Spade Saturday I wore recently is one of my favorites. I'm a creature of habit and usually stick to shorter hemlines but the criss-cross back and the low v-neckline were hard to resist. It's classy with a dash of sexy, and I thought I'd stay true to my usual style and opt for a boyish bomber as outerwear. I could imagine this dress a handful of other ways- shop Saturday accessories below:
Holiday gifting season is upon us! I get pretty excited about this time of the year because I get to shop for some of my closest girlfriends (who usually share the same interests in the same things), which means I gravitate towards shoes, bags, and small useful goods for gifting. This year I'm looking at Kate Spade Saturday to cover all bases here- that bottle opener is golden (literally), and so are the adorable initialed notebooks. Who doesn't appreciate a little personalization? Mini crossbody bags also make the perfect stocking stuffers, and I don't think I've ever met a girl who didn't like receiving shoes for Christmas... c'mon. Leather mules and perforated sneakers, yes. Got both day and night time activities covered.
Kate Spade Saturday is currently hosting a 'Gift All Your Girls' sweepstake, where you're able to enter to win a $1000 gift card for yourself and four more for four of your friends - pretty sweet present, no? I know I said receiving personalized gifts is great and all, but who wouldn't love having the freedom to shop and choose what they wanted, for free?
Paule Ka coat, H&M dress, Lauren Cecchi bag, Adidas sneakers, Céline sunglasses
The thing I love most about major cities and having to walk everywhere is 'whittling' your outfit down to just the essentials: what's comfortable and what's practical. In crisp San Fran air that is often fickle between kind-of-cold but barely-warm weather, a long-sleeved midi dress with a weightless shearling coat, and sneakers is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, I love me my heeled boots but it's refreshing trading it in for blindingly white sneakers. With the way 'fall' is looking like here back home in LA, I might just be sticking to this look 'til the end of our presumed pseudo-winter.
Speaking of looks, I'm starting to upload some of my outfit posts onto WEAR the app, one of the more user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing apps for style-sharing. Lots of inspo from around the world and all the looks and shoppable items are consolidated in one convenient app, ya know? Since we're perpetually stuck to our phones, storing all of our photos and inspiration in one space makes sense and saves a lot of time. Try the app out on your phone and find me on there (@neonblush), follow along if you'd like!
Wildfox tee and slouchy jeans, Movado watch, Nine West x InStyle heels, Balenciaga bag, American Eagle belt, Loren Stewart cuff ring
Because I like to stick to more simple outfit combinations—as pictured, an understated top with a comfy pair of bottoms—I like accessorizing with jewelry that has a little bit of detail. To go along with this plush tee and baggy boyfriend jeans, I grabbed my go-to silver bracelets and one of my favorite new accessories, the new Museum Wrap watch by Movado. The metal cuff is created with a special bracelet-hinge mechanism that allows it to wrap around the wearer's wrist twice and quite comfortably, too. It's so versatile and I love how thin and easy the strap is. I think I'll be wearing this in a number of ways throughout the season: piled on with more delicate bracelets, mix and matched with gold and rose-gold jewelry, or solo as a standalone statement.
Each night at sea with Princess Cruises we were graced with intimate dinners and were introduced to new, decadent dishes. One of my favorite experiences was the Chef’s Table, where we got to meet the Maître d'hôtel and witness the chef prepare our meals (more on these dishes in a future post). These dinners usually meant dressier and more structured attire, but it was fun having an excuse to change out of our bikinis and loungewear.
Finders Keepers dress, Alexander McQueen clutch
While Krystal and Beca went with colorful cocktail dresses, and Marianna with her usual blush pink tonal get-up, I stuck to my trusty all-black-everything approach. Packing only one pair of heels (unfailing strappy black Zara), I opted for minimal black dresses, satin tops and silk bottoms, a charcoal slip and a dusty lace wrap-dress (received a lot of compliments on this, love Style Saint).
Misha Collection top, Rae Francis pants, Lauren Cecchi bag, Zara heels
For our last dinner with Princess Cruises, I went with this Misha Collection top that I can not stop reaching for and silk pants (worn here) from Rae Francis. Good move on deciding to forego a dress and instead go in pants because I wouldn’t have been able to finish that delicious bittersweet chocolate mousse (!! to die for) after a multi-course dinner without an elastic waistband and breathing room. Not to mention, these silk pants can actually go with anything, for any time of the day.
So many delicious eats during our Caribbean cruise - looking forward to sharing some recipes with you guys in another post soon!
