Proenza Schouler PS11 mini
When I became of age, meaning when I finally began to understand the importance and satisfaction of having a "real" bag (and when I could afford it on my own), I told myself I'd try to treat myself to one nice big-girl bag a year. This year, I had about three bags in mind and it took a while to place a decision... but as you can see above, I wound up choosing another Proenza: the PS11 mini in "Saddle". What comes next may sound like a broken record in the blogging world but I love, love, love the PS11. So much so that I sought after a second one but justified the decision by getting a mini version in brown. It's the perfect shade for a brown bag, and when I found out that Proenza Schouler was planning on discontinuing the Saddle in textured leather (and instead offer it only in smooth leather), it quickly turned into a do-or-die situation.

Stylestalker shirt, Liv Los Angeles bodysuit, Céline sunglasses, Vanessa Mooney jewelry
White lace things, to me, are the best accessory for bearing the heat. This body suit in particular--sleeveless and short--is just right with layers that do the job for you without actually having to wear that extra layer. And a floral blue button-up for when the relentless sun lets up, is how I'm getting by right now.
Balenciaga 'Ceinture' boots and cut-out boots
Fall shopping is upon us and it's already hard enough wanting all of the new pieces... to make things even more stressful, classic styles are given upgrades that are making my insides hurt (in a good way). As with most girls, I've had the Balenciaga cut-out boots on my wish list for ultimately too long- I was thinking about giving myself the green light on its pre-order, but last week, pictures of the filled-in version surfaced. What, the, hell.
Acne 'Colt' boots and 'Pistol' boots
These updated babies are the only things keeping me at bay from making yet another Zara shoe purchase. I had long lusted after the perfection of the 'Pistol' boots, but after a few wears I felt they'd be better my style if they had been an inch or so taller. And now, that wish has become reality through the 'Colt'. I'm in love and contemplating on selling my existing Pistols for them... help. Which ones do you prefer from Balenciaga and Acne- the updated versions or the originals?
Lovers + Friends muscle tee, Zara leather jacket, Madewell skinnies, Céline sunglasses, Zara pumps and bag
TGIF! I wore a similar outfit to this on my way to the airport earlier today. Airport travel wear almost always consists of a tee, jeans, and a leather biker for me. I'm blogging from Portland right now- so happy to be here! I'd been meaning to visit this place for over a year, and I just came back from a successful donut and happy hour experience, so, yeah, Portland's great thus far.
As many dark pairs of denim I have, I'm still on the lookout for that one perfect pair that has the right kind of washed up black-gray. This one from Madewell comes pretty close to that. And with a pretty flattering fit, too, at that. Come to think of it- the fit of their new line of denim skinnies is probably the best feature. Also very much digging these, these, and these.
Hope you guys enjoy the weekend! Follow me on Instagram for updates on Portlandia :)
Vince top, Zara leather jacket and skirt, Alexander Wang heels, Proenza Schouler PS11, Jennifer Zeuner necklace, CC Skye bangle
Good things can only come out of combining all of your favorite things into one, right? I'm obsessed with this v-neck leather top from Vince, along with this layered skirt and leather biker from Zara, and felt like wearing all three at once was just right. You get a little bit of tough leather, a bit of crinkled leather, a sliver of sheer see-through goodness, and a patch of plaid. I'd been painfully lusting after the Acne 'Merci' jacket and the Saint Laurent biker (and now this perfect oversized style by JBrand), but of course this Zara is doing the job alright. I figure before getting THE one, you can never have too many other leather bikers, ha.
And for good measure, I latched on a few of my favorite jewelry all-timers with a wishbone necklace and two bangles (gold versions from Jennifer Zeuner and CC Skye). As some of you know, I'm an ardent fan of silver hardware and jewelry, but lately I've been particular with rose gold. It doesn't look as tough as silver but not nearly as overdone glam as gold, just kind of daintily cool in the middle.
What are some of your favorite pieces to combine altogether?
Line & Dot blazer, Lovers + Friends dress (similar), Jeffrey Campbell boots, Proenza Schouler PS11, Nordstrom beanie, Vanessa Mooney necklace, Céline sunglasses
Tried a transitioning-into-fall look with a beanie and blazer over dress, but instead blended in with the cerulean sky and hush purple flowered-trees. I'm anxiously waiting for fall, but I ain't mad at this beautiful weather. Hope you enjoyed your weekend! xo

Alright, I can't. Okay, like I tried my best not to post about Zara's August/September campaigns, but they are my absolute FAVORITE of all in Zara's history so I had to have a trace of it forever emblazoned on this blog o' mine. Crisp coats, undone hems, crop tops galore, lace and plaid goodness, tubular coat sleeves, flouncy gray skirts, that gray leather clutch(!), and just being too cool for school. Too good- Zara, you've got me again. Probably deeper in this time. Gulp. Cheers to the weekend!
While up in SF, I like to pack light usually because the trip is just around 2-3 days. This last time I went up, I literally brought only one pair of Genetic skinnies, one t-shirt, one sweater, one pair of shorts, a wool blazer (my absolute favorite thrift find for only $5), and two pairs of shoes. It's nice having options, but it's also really liberating not having to think about the other five ways you can wear this or that for more than ten seconds, and instead focus more energy on what to do and where to go.

We caught some rays but as soon as Karl the fog rolled in, I'd switch from the denim shorts to skinnies and all was swell. Even though it definitely wasn't my first time visiting SF, keeping it simple (and off the normal course of traveling and documenting a bunch of outfits for the sake of blogging) was refreshing.
Saw this shirt the other day and upon trying it on, I decided that I needed it as a part of my wardrobe. I'm overtly swayed by the current trend and longevity of the classic pinstripe, so this menswear-inspired top was more than perfect with added shoulder appliqués and contrastive sleeves. I forget sometimes how good Sandro is...
Lovers + Friends bomber, Zara top, Maje shorts, Steve Madden boots, Luv AJ choker
Meandering next to random succulents in a floral bomber, crop top, and 'boxing' shorts, all of which are my latest obsessions (succulent plant included). Speaking of the shorts, if you're going to go high-waisted, this pair is it. Loving the overcompensating boyish boxiness-- perfect in balancing out the explosion of flowers on the upper half.
Rag & Bone boots
Fall shoe game? Rag & Bone takes the cake. Easy, versatile and still unique, and it's all making me feel head over
heels boots (sorry not sorry for being corny over Rag & Bone shoewear) with their fall styles. The first pair, a loafer pump/boot? I need. These were probably one of the few things that were really etched into my memory from the walk-throughs at the previous NYFW, and they're finally available for pre-order on Nordstrom.
And then there are the utilitarian boots that are so emblematic of autumn. Of course, Rag & Bone has no problem in this department- loving the shape and the color of the 'Mercer II' boot, and the 'Cozen' boot... well that's been haunting my day dreams for a few weeks now. You're killing me, David and Marcus.
Acne Studios top, Luv AJ necklace, JBrand skinnies, Rag & Bone clutch and boots, Acne Studios beanie, NARS lip stain, Étoile Isabel Marant belt, Jules Smith bangles
Like a lot of you (I think), I'm really looking forward to updating the wardrobe with autumn-friendly pieces and colors. Bluer, jeweled-toned colors, and a lot more neutrals. I'd been ogling over Acne's perfect collection for a little while now- their muted watercolor-printed tops and dress are the perfect segue from summer to fall. I love! The floral top above--paired with JBrand skinnies in a dark bluish-gray wash, rad boots and clutch from Rag & Bone, and a gray beanie--though sleeveless, is perfectly suitable for a fall day in L.A. Also, obsessed with the juxtaposition between the girly print and the slightly boyish cuffs at the arms. I'm wondering where I can find a similarly printed top...
So sorry it's felt like forever since I've last updated! A week ago to be exact- but it still feels like such a long time ago. I had meant to update this ol' page a few days ago but the past weekend was occupied with a quick trip to San Francisco, and the days after Monday I'd been feeling a little under the weather (again). But I'm back on here and I wanted to share with you the last bit of my posts for Steve Madden.
For the last segment, I paired up my two favorite black leather pairs from Steve Madden with a touch of pink, one with a muted pink (as you see above) and the other with a splash of bright pink (see at the bottom of post).
Rag & Bone sweater, Zara camisole and skirt, Steve Madden platform heels, Choies box clutch, Jessica Simpson hat
I thought these platform heels gave just the right amount of appeal to the casual baseball knit sweater and Zara skort. I'm really not familiar with walking in platforms anymore, but this pair was too good not to risk wobbling around in. Love the cut on the outermost part of the each side!
Probably my favorite of them all: the Dianna boot. They're probably the edgiest of the shoes I've seen on Steve Madden, too, so naturally I felt they needed a little girlishness. Toe caps come in a metallic gold so I thought this silk top with a thick gold lining would be fun with the pair.
Elizabeth and James top, Akira Chicago skirt, Steve Madden boots, Proenza Schouler PS11, Ray Ban wayfarers
Added a flouncy skirt (my absolute favorite!) and made for an illusive tri-colored dress-frock sort of thing. I've never been one for color blocking, but I love that a pair of shoes can do that to you- make you try something new. Although I'm sure more often than not I'll revert to my ways and I'll be wearing these open-toe booties with boyfriend skinnies and muted colors.
