Bit of tie-dye

4/15/13

thrifted jacket, Forever 21 top, Shakuhachi dress, Alexander Wang pumps and tote, RayBan wayfarers, Vanessa Mooney necklace

A rather gloomy non-Coachella weekend was spent decisively in a gray scaled outfit, one that involved a peek of tie-dye (Shakuhachi leather bustier goodness) layered under my favorite sheer, asymmetrical knit (from Forever 21) and my trusty utilitarian thrifted find. Whoa, that was one packed sentence. Don't mind me- I'm writing this as I'm still experiencing the effects of the NyQuil pills I had taken ten hours ago. Anyway, while I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Coachella take over my Instagram feed, I had a great weekend staying in LA catching up with friends who were still around and with some who were visiting. Thank goodness for YouTube though, I can catch Wu-Tang and Red Hot Chili Peppers from the comfort of my bed while sick.

I know exactly how you feel. I spent all day in yesterday with a lupus/arthritis flare after a particularly grueling hike on Saturday... But at least you look really great today. I am wearing a jump suit that feels like pajamas.

Great look! And yeah, thank goodness for youtube. Since Coachella is out of my reach right now, livestreams would suffice

How did you do your hair (the coloring), it's so pretty!

Jenny Ong said...

@Anonymous: I dyed it a brown a little less than a year ago and then died it back to my natural hair color a few months later. I think the increased sun exposure on my naturally red undertones are changing my hair colors..

@Jenny Ong, thanks for your reply but how did you get the purple in your hair. Is it temporary dye? I'm in love with your hair from this post and would like to recreate it :-)

@Anonymous: oh! Haha I think it's actually just the weird lighting and the ways my camera picked up colors... I just noticed now that my hair IS kind of purpley... whoa. Ah, sorry I couldn't help you!
