Going to family functions always makes me dress a little more conservative and ladylike, hence the tweed-y frayed jacket, floral top, and court heels. And now that I'm looking back at these photos, I kind of miss my wispy, longish hair sans the fringe bangs, mid-length cut, and ashy brown color. Damn it, I'm so indecisive and never satisfied... but I guess it keeps life interesting.

My weekend in a nutshell: pinatas and kiddies (hilarious), macarons, wine and cheese boardin' with friends, a bunch of errands, catching up with an old friend over NY-style pizza and bacon-wrapped dates, and a change of hair. That last part? Let's just say I bid farewell to my virgin hair and said hello to an ashy brown and reintroduced my forehead to some strands of hair. Nothing too drastic, but it's a nice change... I think. Overall a busier weekend than I had hoped, but at least I got to wind down with the Oscars (Gwyneth, Rooney, Michelle Williams, and Natalie Portman were my favorites of the night) in the last few hours of my weekend. This week, I'm looking forward to flying through the rest of February and welcoming March, and having a less-frantic-than-the-last weekend in celebration of my love's birthday.

Only in Seattle: absolutely fresh oysters, Alaskan salmon, lush, fresh green everywhere, excellent coffee, cityscape grazing the coastline, BEST clam chowder (ever), and a lively public market. We were so lucky that the only time it rained on us was when we had left for the airport to return home.
